Civil-law characterization of associations of co-owners of a multi-apartment building as a corporation of a special type.

Abstract
The article deals with the legal status of the association of co-owners of a multi-apartment building on the basis of existing doctrines and theories of a legal entity. It is recognized that the legal status of associations of co-owners of a multi-apartment building should be determined, first of all, on the basis of the idea of its main purpose – to meet the needs of solving issues of the legal regime of joint property, joint management of it (residential dwelling house) in order to secure the interests of co-owners.
