Community-Acquired Pneumonia in Children

Abstract
This article presents data on the topicality, prevalence and diagnostic criteria for pneumonia in children in the context of data analysis by World Health Organization. In view of these evidence-based medicine findings, conducted population studies of spectrum of major pathogens of community-acquired pneumonia in children of different ages and the algorithm of empirical antibiotic therapy of community-acquired pneumonia in children, developed on the basis of these data, there is justified the possibility of administration β-lactam oral antibiotic of the cephalosporin group II generation — Zinnat™.
