COMPARATIVE AND LEGAL ANALYSIS OF THE GROUNDS FOR CONDUCTING CRIMINAL PROCEEDINGS IN ABSENTIA IN THE LEGISLATION OF UKRAINE AND FOREIGN COUNTRIES

Abstract
The article explores the aspects of legislative regulation of criminal proceedings in the absence of the accused (in absentia) in the criminal process of certain foreign countries. Also, in the article there were analyzed the approaches to determining grounds for its implementation and were proposed ways to improve the national legislation in this context.
