COMPARISON OF DEMAND AND PREFERENCES REGARDING CUT FLOWERS OF BULBOUS PLANTS AMONG SELECTED GROUPS OF BUYERS IN LUBLIN

Abstract

The aim of the study was a comparative assessment of the demand and preferences of representatives of two age groups in Lublin, ie 20-24 and over 60 years, concerning cut flowers of bulbous plants. The results of surveys conducted among 300 representatives of both age groups. Specified species preferences, one-off purchases and per year, spending level, purchase reasons were analyzed. The analyzes were carried out using mathematical and statistical methods, mainly using percentage indicators and average values. The older generation generally spend on cut flowers of bulbous plants more than representatives of the Y generation, through higher one-off and per year purchases. Buyers from both age groups purchase flowers mainly for gift purposes, although more often also for themselves, under the influence of impulse. It is favored by their general availability, including in grocery stores.<br/><br/>
