COMPETITION POLICY AND COMPETITIVENESS OF NATIONAL ECONOMY

Abstract
Background. The most urgent task facing the economic sphere is economic growth recovery. Previous experience of competition policy implementation shows that it is not always consistent with economic development objectives. The aim is to analyze the impact of competition policy on the competitiveness of the national economy on the example of certain economic activities. Materials and methods. The basis of the information base of research was materials of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. Methods of analysis and synthesis, systematic approach in determining the place of competition policy in state economic policy were used. Results. Given the negative experience of previous years and based on new concepts of competition, the main method of competition policy is to ensure equal conditions of competition of domestic and foreign manufacturers. Competition policy is a subsystem of the lower level, which is subject to a higher system level – economic policy. Conclusion. It is proposed to finalize the draft of "The Nation-wide development program of the competition for 2014–2024".
