Concept of systemic development of future agricultural engineers’ creative potential

Abstract

The training of the demanded engineers for the agrarian industry now means providing highly developed creative potential among university graduates. This will enable the graduates to perform effectively their professional duties aimed at innovative solutions to various production tasks. The analysis of modern researches of this problem gives grounds to assert that there is a need for systemic purposeful development of agricultural engineers’ creative potential. The fact is that the theoretical and methodological foundations of the process have not been the subject of special investigations. For now, the approaches to developing the creative potential of agroengineering bachelors have not been outlined. The conditions that enable the purposeful creative development of engineers were not definitely characterized as well as the corresponding methods and tools. According to the educational and professional programs, which are used at Ukrainian agrarian universities, there is a lack of disciplines aimed at the fostering creativity among agricultural engineers. The study of the system development of the creative potential was focused on developing an appropriate concept that included the definition of methodological approaches, principles, pedagogical conditions for the effective development of the students’ creative potential. The content, forms, methods and means of teaching that form the pedagogical system were under consideration as well. The methodological basis included systematic, synergetic, person-oriented, competence, activity, cultural, axiological and informational approaches that took into account the professional features of agricultural engineering. The generalization of the above-mentioned ambiguities allowed us to develop a conceptual model that reflected the organization peculiarities of systematically consistent training of students for innovative engineering activities. Further research might involve methodological provision for conceptual directions of purposeful development of engineers’ creative potential (interdisciplinary and problem-oriented character of teaching, modern innovative pedagogical technologies with the focus on the student’s personality, etc.).
