Conceptual Aspects of Studying the Substance of Corporate Restructuring

Abstract
The article considers the basic approaches to the substance of corporate restructuring. The study describes primary factors which prompted discrepancies in the perspectives of domestic and foreign economists on the content of the corresponding category. The study also determines and substantiates basic approaches to the substance of corporate restructuring, demonstrates its role among other types of enterprise restructuring. The author identified characteristic features of corporate restructuring that were used as a foundation for the author’s own definition of the term. The study also substantiates the importance of optimization of corporate management in the process of corporate restructuring. The study includes a comparative analysis of corporate restructuring and related notions, analyzes the nature of interaction between corporate restructuring and modern economic provisions. The article also studies primary motives and factors for carrying out a corresponding type of restructuring and offers a formulated matrix of stakeholders relative to the expected corporate restructuring results.
