CONSTRAINTS ON ORDINARY KRIGING APPLICATION FOR CONTOUR MAPS CONSTRUCTION

Abstract
The paper focuses on the constraints on application of geostatistical interpolation procedure – ordinary kriging for contour maps construction. It has been emphasized that effectiveness of the kriging application for interpolation and contour maps construction depends on the reliability of semivariograms used for calculation. The crucial factors, including the number and spacing of data, affecting the representativeness of semivariograms have been characterized. The conclusions deal with the rules of modelling of variability of deposits and its usage in contour mapping.
