Control of blood hypertension and associated factors in hypertensive adults

Abstract

Introduction: Blood hypertension constitutes a health problem, the control of blood pressure figures is related to various factors that predispose to torpid course of the disease. Objective: To associate pressure control with factors identified in the hypertensive adult patients of the clinic 4 of Vergeles health center in the year 2021. Materials and Methods: The research isrelational, observational, prospective and cross-sectional to associate the control of arterial hypertension with risk factors, in the population of hypertensive patients of the Office 4 of the Vergeles Health Center. The hypothesis was tested through the testChi square statistic with a significance level of 0.05. Results: predominated the age group from 50 to 59 years (28.6%); the female sex (56.4%); the civil statefree binding (53.4%); public employee occupation 34.6%; primary schooling 33.1%;the mestizo ethnic group 72.9%; hypertension stage II grade 57.1%; the statenutritional overweight 43.6%; not doing physical activity 72.2%; not smoking 75.2%; the salt consumption 60.9%; healthy diet 62.4%; hypertensive heart disease complication90%; without control and lack of adherence to treatment 52.3%. The Chi statistic testsquare is used to test the hypothesis with a level of significance of0.05. Conclusion: Hypertension is manifested mainly in mature ages of the life, the female sex prevails because it is more numerous, the level of education is low, so it can be inferred, that the lack of knowledge about the disease and the importance of its control does not favor life habits and adherence to treatment, the majority of the identified factors were associated with high blod presure
