Cooperation problems of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi with the deputies of the First Duma

Abstract
The article deals with political activity of Mykhailo Hrushevkyi during the First Duma functioning. The deputies which had been elected to Parliament from the Ukrainian provinces are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the representatives of Ukrainian parliamentary community that had emerged at that time. The most striking representatives of the community are characterized. Positive influence of the historian on the deputies from the Ukrainian peasantry is noted. The scientist’s publicistic articles concerning the Duma period are analyzed. His views on solving the agrarian problem are expressed. Publishing activity of the scientist in the magazine «Ukrainskii vestnik» is characterized. The historian’s cooperation with Russian parliament national democrats is emphasized. His contacts with representatives of the Lithuanian and Belarusian national movement are pointed out. The importance of the Duma period for the further political activity of the scientist is underscored.
