Corporate social responsibility and strengthening human talent in organizations

Journal Title: RHS-Revista Humanismo y Sociedad - Year 2021, Vol 9, Issue 1

Abstract

A successful organization must necessarily have a social responsibility strategy in place. In this sense, this research seeks to analyse the impact that corporate social responsibility has on strengthening human talent in organizations. In order to achieve this purpose, a research study with a qualitative approach and a descriptive scope was carried out through a review of databases of indexed journals, institutional repositories and specialized search sites. It was identified that corporate social responsibility tends to be understood as those philanthropic activities undertaken by organizations in the areas in which they operate, when in fact the concept is much deeper and starts, as a first step, by the organization’s internal strengthening through investment in the improvement and personal and professional growth of its staff. This will allow the organization to stay in the market obtaining the best financial results. In Colombia, there is still a reductionist view of this important relationship between corporate social responsibility and strengthening of human talent. Business leaders must begin to increase awareness of the urgency of adopting this synergy, otherwise, and in light of market globalization, Colombian organizations will not be sufficiently competitive or outstanding in the international realm.
