Journal Title: MANAGERIAL CHALLENGES OF THE CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY - Year 2016, Vol 9, Issue 2
Abstract
Organizational culture gathers the beliefs and values shared throughout the entire organization and defines how enterprises work and how the people act within their working environment. All of these form a model of shared assumptions that was assimilated by the group and passed on to new employees as the correct manner in which to feel, perceive and act in relation with different problems. Creativity is essential in contemporary organizations as it has the ability to increase organizational flexibility and to better adapt to the dynamics of the business environment. Another aspect of creativity is that it leads to an increase in organizational effectiveness and to superior level of productivity. Given all of the above this paper provides an empirical research on the correlations between the cultural characteristics of organizations and the creativity of employees, along with their influences on the employees’ efficiency in their working environment.
