Creation of the steam locomotive P36 by designer L.S. Lebedyanskyi

Abstract
In the following article the facts related to the creation of the passenger steam locomotive type P36 are analyzed and systematized. It describes the reasons for the new steam locomotive to be designed. In addition, the article shows what the first projects for the new locomotive were before it was ordered to Kolomenskyi plant. Also, it reviews the process of creation on theplant and the technical specifications of the first passenger locomotive type P36 that was built there. Moreover, the article describes the main parts of the steam locomotive type P36. Among them, there are the following: steam boiler, steam machine, chassis, locomotive frame, and trailing tender. Also, it reviews the process of testing of the new passenger locomotive type P36 and shows its results. Furthermore, the article compares the results of the steam locomotive testing with the testing results of other locomotives that were widely used in the former Soviet Union. In addition, the information about the amount of the steam locomotives type P36 and periods of their creation may be found in the following article. Finally, the article reviews the process of usage of the new passenger steam locomotives type P36. It describes, where new locomotives were used specifying the names of the railways. Moreover, it explains why new locomotives have been built only for a short period of time. In addition, it observes
