CREDIT POLICY OF THE COMMERCIAL BANK AND STRATEGIES FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION

Abstract
The author stresses that the functioning of the state economy is impossible without an efficient banking system. The quality of credit management of banks depends on the financial results obtained by institutions, which will create solid grounds for expanding the financing of business entities. In modern conditions of economic development of Ukraine, the introduction of effective credit policy strategies for commercial banks will help strengthen the banking sector to strengthen the country’s economic stability. It is proved that the success of the formation of credit policy depends on a number of factors that can be divided into internal and external. Based on the analysis of the loan portfolio and assets of commercial banks of Ukraine for 2013–2017, the types of institutions’ credit policy were determined. The dynamics of liquidity indicators as a whole in the banking system of Ukraine is presented. The consequences of liquidity stocks are formulated. The ways to improve the process of formation and realization of the credit strategy of commercial banks are offered.
