Curve Length Estimation using Vertix Chain Code Curve Length Estimation
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2010, Vol 2, Issue 6
Abstract
Most of the applications in image analysis are based on reeman chain code. In this paper, for the first time, vertex chain code (VCC) proposed by Bribiesca is applied to improve length estimation of the 2D digitized curve. The chain code has some preferences such as stable in shifting, turning, mirroring movement of image and has normalized starting point. Due to the variety of length estimator methods, we focused on the hree specific techniques. First, the way Bribiesca proposed hich is based on counting links between vertices; second, ased on maximum length digital straight segments (DSSs) and lastly local metrics. The results of these length estimators with the real perimeter are compared. Results thus obtained exhibits that length estimation using VCC is nearest to the ctual length.

Cluster Based Message Dissemination for Broadcasting the Emergency/Warning Messages using a Novel Scheduling in VANETS
Vehicular ad hoc networks are a special case of mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Unlike MANETs, VANET nodes are moving very fast. It becomes quite challenging to maintain a stable path for broadcasting Emergency and Warn...
Localization of Mobile Nodes in Wireless Networks with Correlated in Time Measurement Noise
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are widely used in applications like location monitoring, object tracking and decision making systems. Movement patterns of mobile sensor nodes play an important role in such systems. This...
Towards Intelligent Information Retrieval on Web
The World Wide Web is an information resource with virtually unlimited potential. However, this potential is relatively untapped because it is difficult for machines to process and integrate this information meaningfully...
ONLINE HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM USING ZIGBEE
An on-line health monitoring of physiological signals of humans such as temperature and pulse using Zigbee is produced in this paper, by which the temperature and pulse of humans can be monitored from a distant location...
Generation of key for Session key Distribution Using Bio-Metrics
Biometric cryptosystem gives different methods in high secure applications. Cryptography is intended to ensure the secrecy and authenticity of message. Here we will consider symmetric key cryptography. For conventional e...
