DEFINING CONCEPTS OF "REFLECTION", "REFLEXIVE POSITION", "REFLEXIVE SKILLS", "REFLEXIVE COMPETENCE", "REFLEXIVE CULTURE": COMPARATIVE AND ANALYTICAL REVIEW

Abstract

This article suggests the comparative and analytical review of approaches to the essential understanding of such concepts as "reflection", "reflexive position", "reflexive skills", "reflexive culture" and "reflexive competence". Their definitions are determined from the point of the social reflection research of the future teacher, their interconnection and interdependence are specified on the principles of the hierarchy of pedagogical categories. Consideration of reflection in various fields of science gives us an opportunity to focus on the essential characteristics of this phenomenon, which is indicated in general as more important ability of an individual or a social group to be in relation not only with oneself or with the activities carried out but also with the socio-cultural environment. The development of reflexive skills in the process of future teachers’ education is necessary due to the following reasons: while interacting with students, the teacher constantly faces new problems, situations, and conflicts that require a quick and effective solution.
