DETERMINANTS INFLUENCING POLISH NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS' OPTIMISM IN LIFE AND AT WORK
Journal Title: Scientific Journal of the Military University of Land Forces - Year 2009, Vol 151, Issue 1
Abstract
A sense of optimism and success in non-commissioned officers’ life is rooted in their inborn and acquired resourcefulness, whereas acquired helplessness remains the key element for pessimism. It is distinctive of a pessimist to regard unfortunate events as something long-lasting. Pessimists have a propensity to brood over their mistakes and failures.Among non-commissioned officers optimism, as one of the rudimentary factors of an educational atmosphere, helps them achieve good results in their work as well as other areas of life.
