Determination the Importance of Factors Levels Affecting Career Choice by Conjoint Analysis

Abstract
People are obliged to do many preferences throughout their whole lives. Choice of career is the most critical one in these preferences. Because individuals who consider that choice is appropriate to their characteristics, are successful and be happy in their life as they can produce benefits to society.The aim of this study is to determine individual’s preferences direction when the factors affecting career choice are evaluated together. To reveal the level of importance of factors in career choice is important for the training of young people who are at the beginning of their career choice and so they can be directed to needed areas. For this purpose, conjoint cards are designed based on the full profile approach, was applied to the defined sample mass via electronic media and face to face interviews. Data were tested with conjoint analysis. According to the results, younger individuals’ choice is doing their own business and gaining high income in a dynamic and hardworking career. It is identified that the most important factor affecting career choice is income.
