Determining of the required length of steel anchoring and composite fittings in plankglued wooden constructions

Abstract

The cohesion of steel and composite fittings with wood through epoxy adhesive has been investigated. Experimental samples of plankglued prisms were tested for the removal of glued fittings. After experimental research, the dependencies between the pulling load and the unscrewing end of the armature were loosened. The analysis of the test results during which the method of calculating the required length of the rod anchoring of the fittings through an epoxy adhesive in the wood, taking into account the stress in the fittings and the strength of the wood for cutting, was obtained. A sufficient convergence of theoretical calculations with experimental data is found, which allows to recommend the presented method of calculation for the design of reinforced wooden structures. For full use of the strength of the fiberglass and fiberbasalt fittings, it is necessary to use additional anchorages or increase the corrugation of the surface of the composite fittings and secure attachment of these ribs to the body of the fittings.
