DEVELOPMENT OF ELECTRONIC BIBLIOGRAPHIC TOOLS IN V. O. SUKHOMLYNSKYI STATE SCIENTIFIC AND PEDAGOGICAL LIBRARY OF UKRAINE

Abstract
In particular, the Topical problems in education and science: mass media review heading contains bibliographic reviews on present challenges in education and science; the Assisting academic staff heading is aimed at providing information and bibliographic support to research studies; the Assisting teachers, class teachers and educators heading contains a wide range of bibliographic tools that will help academic staff to make and introduce new curriculums, to improve themselves systematically, to update forms, methods and means of their work. V. O. Sukhomlynskyi SSPL of Ukraine prepares bibliographic tools according to the following national, state programmes and concepts, and decrees of the President: The rights of the child as the highest value, 2016 is the Year of English in Ukraine, How to educate a citizenpatriot of Ukraine. The statistics of headings browsing by distant users for the period 2012–2017 indicates growing interest in bibliographic tools. The attention is paid to the following benefits of electronic bibliographic tools: access to publications for several users simultaneously, free copying or mailing copies, material resources saving. It is concluded that bibliographic tools are an important source in the system of reference and bibliographic service. The themes of bibliographic editions for 2018 are presented. The perspectives of further research are outlined, in particular, to conduct statistical monitoring regarding the number of browsing of the library electronic bibliographic resources by distant users and identify the most popular headings.
