Development of stomatognathic system and its diagnostics aspects of prosthetic treatment of adolescent patients

Abstract
This paper presents the major reasons indicating the need for prosthetic treatment in children and adolescents. The author reveals the effects of tooth loss in children and describes the mechanisms of the stomatognathic system development. Clinical implications essential for prosthetic treatment planning and implementation in this group of patients, as well as current methods of radiological diagnostics used to assess the skeletal maturity are also presented.
