Abstract
Studies of electromagnetic processes in asynchronous machines in the idling and short-circuit when the control voltage at the terminals of the stator winding when the circuit turns in one of her phases. It is shown that the processes occurring in the closed part of the winding, are factor to the strong effect on the magnetic field in the air gap machines, phase currents and losses. Proposed new diagnostic parameters, symptoms and treatments, both simple and highly sensitive to determine the location and number of closed coils of the stator winding at an early stage of the defect.
