Abstract
This article deals with various aspects of the life of Ramón Chico de Guzmán, a 19th century nobleman from Cehegín who was granted the “Aspirante de Marina” mercy at the early age of 4 years. After the turbulent years after “La Gloriosa”, the cadet would leave the navy and dedicate himself to journalism and become a writer.
