Abstract
The basis of safety in traffic there are efficient braking systems of vehicles participating in traffic. At the same time, keep in mind that the braking distance of the vehicle de-pends on many factors. The purpose of this article is to present the results of research related to measure the braking distance of passenger cars and their impact on various factors such as vehicle speed, weather conditions, condition and type of road surface, vehicle load, type of tires. This article is the first of two parts.
