ECONOMIC SANCTIONS IN INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC LAW. PART I: HISTORICAL LEGAL REVIEW

Abstract

The subject for study of this article is the development of economic sanctions in a historical-legal aspect. Existing at the moment its interpretation as a force measure with economical character to the state that has violated international norms was developed in the second part of the XX century. However, in contrast with the term, the history of economic sanction as phenomena deeply rooted in depth of centuries. Going a long way from comprehensive to individual, the economic sanctions do not change its essence – staying the stage before military escalation of conflict.
