EDUCATIONAL LIBRARIES IN SPANISH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES: STRATEGY AND PRIORITIES OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
Representation of the strategy and priorities of development of educational libraries in Spanish-speaking countries (on the example of Spain, Argentina, Colombia etc.) has been done in the article. The legal base of the activity of educational libraries (school libraries, university libraries) of Spain has been analyzed. The process of establishment of educational libraries in Spanish-speaking countries under the leadership of the Regional center for the support of reading in Latin America and Caribbean region has been presented. It has been proved that educational libraries in Spanish-speaking countries are the most important generator of public and cultural changes. Promoting the strengthening of education and culture, they carried out a role of establishment of social intellect as an integral part of the development of knowledge society.
