Effect of Concrete Strength on the Mechanical Properties of GFRP Reinforced Concrete Column
Journal Title: Scholars Journal of Engineering and Technology - Year 2017, Vol 5, Issue 3
Abstract
GFRP tube reinforced concrete column is a new type of composite column. In this paper, finite element analysis of three kinds of concrete strength grades is carried out by ANSYS finite element software, the influence of concrete strength grade under axial compression on the mechanical properties of GFRP steel reinforced concrete columns was studied. The results show that with the increase of the concrete strength gradeļ¼the bearing capacity of the structure is enhanced, but the ductility is deteriorated. Keywords: GFRP; concrete strength; ANSYS; bearing capacity.

Diagnostics of Motor Oil Quality by Using the Device Based on Surface Plasmon Resonance Phenomenon
We demonstrate the possibility to examine quality of motor oil by using the method of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) for comparing values of refractive indexes inherent to initial and used oil. It was experimentally sho...
Environmental Monitoring and Greenhouse Control by Distributed Wireless Sensor Network
A sensor is a miniature component which gauge physical parameters from the environment. Sensors measure the physical parameters and transmits them either by wired or wireless means. In wireless medium the sensor and its...
A new non-monotone line search technique
In this paper, we propose a new non-monotone line search algorithm for unconstrained optimization problems. We incorporate the proposed non-monotone strategy in [3] into an inexact Wolfe-type line search approach to cons...
