Effect of Dry Friction on Bifurcation Diagram of Furuta Pendulum
Journal Title: Strojnicky casopis - Journal of Mechanical Engineering - Year 2018, Vol 68, Issue 4
Abstract
Traditionally, the Furuta pendulum was used for testing advanced control strategies on a simple nonlinear and underactuated structure. In this paper, we investigate analytically and experimentally the dynamical description of the Furuta pendulum focusing on the effect of dry friction on a special bifurcation behaviour of the downward equilibrium position.

HVAC Systems Heat Recovery with Multi-Layered Oscillating Heat Pipes
The aim of this work is to investigate a heat performance of a Multi-Layered Oscillating Heat Pipes Heat Exchanger (ML-OHPHE) for the application of heat recovery in heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (H...
Effective Thermo-Structural Analysis for Disc Brake System Simulation
The evaluation of disk brake squeal is nowadays performed using Finite Element Model. In this standard procedure the thermal effects are omitted. The omission is done because of long computing time of fully coupled bra...
Express Method to Estimate Structural Imperfection and Bone Tissue Status
A new method for evaluating the bone status using the scattering parameter of hardness indexes (Weibull homogeneity coefficient m) is proposed. A comparative analysis of the condition of the bone tissue of birds, depen...
Adaptive Car Following Model
The vehicle dynamics was a very lot developed in the last twenty years. There is a huge gap in the different vehicle models in this field. Researchers need accurate the car following models because of it. There are sev...
Numerical Simulation of Heat Transfer Behavior of Dissimilar AA5052-AA6061 Plates in Fiction Stir Welding: An Experimental Validation
Fiction Stir welding (FSW) a unique type of metal joining process in solid state, where the heat generation takes place due to the friction action between the rotating tool and the work piece. It is generally used to j...
