EFFECT PARENTAL UNITS AT PROFESSIONAL SELF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract

It is reflected an actual problem of the professional self-determination of seniors. The question of the impact of parental attitudes on professional self-determination of seniors is very important within this issue. It is noted that in early adolescence self-determination becomes the basic foundation of personality development. It shows the different types of self-determination — a vital, personal, social, professional, but scientific interest is the most professional self-determination whose main objective is the conscious choice of future profession. We consider the family as the first and primary social institution that affects the professional self-determination of seniors, because it shapes a child’s first glimpse about the world. First professional guidance the child acquires in the family, where it meets with the parents’ profession. The results of the research which aimed to find out the impact of parental attitudes on career choices of high school students are analized. The reasons of the parents’ impact on the professional self-determination of seniors are traced, it indicates on an authoritarian position of parents and their adult egocentrism. The component of interaction between parents and child that affects their successful professional identity is characterized. In further research we can develop a program of professional character that help parents create the favorable conditions for children to find the correct decision themselves, to see it as a person in the profession, to understand its inclinations clearly, to develop talents and to cultivate the child’s responsibility for its own career choices, and the high school students during their career guidance will be able not only acquire an idea of their own abilities and possibilities, but also to develop them.
