Effectiveness of management from the humanistic perspective

Abstract
There is no one agreed way of defining the sake of research in management sciences. There are two major approaches. First one emphasizes the role of aims in assessment of management effectiveness. The second one is focused on the general ability to acquire key resources, which enable the survival of the organization. However both of them are not sufficient to depict and assess the complexity of management effectiveness. Therefore it is necessary that such assessment is based on many different criteria. In this article author's approach to management effectiveness was presented. It is based on the agathos conception. This approach allows to integrate and complement the previous ones in few areas, concerning especially: diversity of goals and effects, antinomies between the effectiveness dimensions, contradictory assumptions of different paradigms, treating ethical context as a key logic of effectiveness, the mutual relations between science and praxis.
