EFFECTS OF NATURAL ZEOLITE PARTICLE SIZE ON THE CEMENT
Journal Title: Structure and Environment - Year 2017, Vol 0, Issue 3
Abstract
This paper reports the test results of the Transcarpathian zeolite grain size on the cement-zeolite pastes properties. Materials used in this study included CEM I 42.5R and the zeolite chiefly composed of clinoptilolite. Tests were performed to determine the setting times, hydration kinetics and phase composition of pastes, and the consistency and compressive strength of mortars. It was demonstrated that the degree of fineness of zeolite had a significant effect on its pozzolanic properties, thereby affecting the properties of mortars. Depending on the zeolite gradation, the compressive strength of mortars can increase or decrease. Likewise, the zeolite fineness can contribute to higher or lower flowability of mortars compared to the mortars without the mineral additive.

The area of Kadzielnia in Kielce is one of the best known cave areas in the region. Part of the caves (the group Jaskinia Odkrywców – Prochownia – Szczelina) has been made available to tourists. This requires proper prot...
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GENERALIZED VISCOELASTIC HUET-SAYEGH AND BURGERS MODEL TO DETERMINE THE STIFFNESS MODULUS OF ASPHALT CONCRETE
The aim of this paper is to compare the possibility of application of two physical models, namely generalized Huet- Sayegh and Burgers model to describe the changes in stiffness modulus of asphalt concrete. Both models m...
APPLICATION OF THE FIRE RESISTING SUSPENDED CEILINGS
This paper presents the rules of performing fire resistance tests and classification of suspended ceilings constituting independent barriers and suspended ceilings constituting horizontal membranes protecting the floor/r...
RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF THE SUPPORTING STRUCTURE SUBJECTED TO THE ACTION FORCED VIBRATIONS
The study concerns the forced vibrations analysis of supporting structure in terms of probabilism. Structural design parameters are defined as the deterministic values and random variables. Random variables are not corre...
THE INFLUENCE OF PARTICULAR PARAMETERS ON THE TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN THE IMPLETION OF REGENERATIVE HEAT EXCHANGER
The article describes the process of unsteady heat transfer that occurs between the impletion of regenerative heat exchanger and the surrounding air. A mathematical model of this phenomenon and its exemplary solution usi...
