EFLATUN CEM GÜNEY’S VIEWS ON THIS SUBJECT: FOLKLORIC PRODUCTS AS CHILDREN’S LITERATURE MATERIAL

Abstract

Children’s literature which is one of the most important effect on forming character, shaping identity and forming psychology of children who are the future of societies is a problamatic area in terms of its materials. Because there is nounity in the materials of children’s literature, different ideological and belief codes filled the area, and the individuals who was grown up by children’s literature in this poem of mistakes have come to the point of not understanding each other and not sharing each other’s sufferings. To form generations who make empathy, it is a necessity to choose the material sused in children’s literature among the subjects consisting the common points. Eflatun Cem Güney realized this chaos in children’s literature in the early dates and to form a nationalty peper son and he suggested to use folklore sourced texts in children’s literature. This work states the ideas of Eflatun Cem Güney on using folkloric materials in children’s literature.
