Journal Title: Przegląd Socjologiczny - Year 2016, Vol 0, Issue 3
Abstract
The aim of paper is a critical analysis of the main points of the Attention Economy. The author summarizes the most important theses of researchers such as Goldhaber, Frank, and Davenport, trying to answer the question whether the Attention Economy can be used as the new paradigm for the description of the economy of the 21st century. The answer is negative. The Attention Economy ignores theoretical achievements of the modern economy and is not convincing in its own main assumptions.
