ELECTRIC FIELD EFFECT ON OPTICAL DICHROISM OF SOME AZODYES DISSOLVED IN COMPENSATED CHOLESTERIC LIQUID CRYSTAL
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii din Bucuresti. Chimie - Year 2009, Vol 18, Issue 1
Abstract
In the paper are presented the results obtained in the study of the optical dichroism of some azodyes dissolved in a compensated mixture of cholesteryl chloride and cholesteryl-nonanoate under the electric field action. The electric field dependence of the order parameter S of the dyes is presented and discussed.

ON THE CURENT DENSITY AND OVERTENSION SIGNS IV. THE CASE OF THE TRANSFER OF TWO IONS OF THE SAME CHARGE ACROSS THE ITIES IN OPEN CIRCUIT CONDITION
For a spontaneous electrode reaction the entropy production and the current density across the electrodic interface and the overtension under which the electrode reaction occurs are intimately linked. From this relations...

VOLTAMMETRY STUDY OF THE 2,4,6 -TRINITROTOLUENE CONVERSION INTO THE AMINE COMPOUNDS USING ZERO-VALENT IRON
The paper describes the use of voltammetry in monitoring the reductive process of 2,4,6 Trinitrotoluene(TNT) to amine compounds by zero-valent Iron. This method let’s us determine simultaneously the reduction of TNT and...
A NOVEL SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC METHOD FOR THE MICRO DETERMINATION OF MERCURY (II)
The authors reported a new reagent namely Anthrone phenylhydrazone (APH) for the analytical determination of mercury (II) in water samples. Mercury (II) forms a yellow colored complex with APH in a media of pH 7. The met...
