Electronic properties of graphene/ZnO 2D-2D composite
Journal Title: Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics - Year 2018, Vol 21, Issue 1
Abstract
Within the framework of methods of the electron density functional and the ab initio pseudopotential, we have obtained the spatial distributions of the valence electrons density, the electron energy spectra and the Coulomb potential for model composite structures consisting of graphene or graphene oxide and ZnO. They were computed using the above methods with the author’s program complex. It has been determined that composite structures made of graphene and ZnO are more energy efficient to be formed with oxygen atomic plane of ZnO to graphene. Composite structures of graphene oxide and ZnO are more energy efficient as compared to composites on graphene.

Suitable factorization of the total intersubband scattering rates for efficient calculation of the current densities and gain characteristics in quantum cascade lasers
Suitable factorization of the intersubband scattering rates is performed for the temperature dependent electron transport model of mid-infrared quantum cascade lasers (QCL). In this case, the total intersubband scatterin...
Studying the mechanical properties of (Cu1–xAgx)7GeS5I mixed crystals by using the micro-indentation method
(Cu1–xAgx)7GeS5I mixed crystals were grown using the Bridgman–Stockbarger method. The hardness dependences on the indentation depth profiles in (Cu 1–x Ag x ) 7 GeS 5 I mixed crystals were investigated. The measurements...
Possible mechanism of inhibition of virus infectivity with nanoparticles
The possible mechanism of inhibition of virus infectivity with nanoparticles has been considered both theoretically and experimentally. It has been supposed that inhibition is caused by action of the nanoparticles on spe...
The influence of substrate temperature on properties of Cu-Al-O films deposited using the reactive ion beam sputtering method
For the first time, Cu-Al-O films were grown using the reactive ion beam sputtering at temperatures ranging from 80 to 380 °C in 50 °C increments. Correlations between the properties of as-grown films measured by X-ray d...
Acoustic-stimulated relaxation of GaAs1–хPх LEDs electroluminescence intensity
The effect of ultrasonic (US) treatment on electroluminescence of initial and irradiated with 2-MeV electrons (Φ = 8.24∙1014 e/cm2) GaAs-GaP LEDs grown on solid solution base was studied. It was found that luminescence i...
