Elliptic functions and integrals
Journal Title: Surveys in Mathematics and its Applications - Year 2008, Vol 3, Issue 0
Abstract
This paper presents the basic ideas and properties of elliptic functions and elliptic integrals as an expository essay. It explores some of their numerous consequences and includes applications to some problems such as the simple pendulum and the Euler rigid body motion.

Optimal Alternative to the Akima's Method of Smooth Interpolation Applied in Diabetology
It is presented a new method of cubic piecewise smooth interpolation applied to experimental data obtained by glycemic profile for diabetics. This method is applied to create a soft useful in clinical diabetology. The me...
Unequal access to public healthcare facilities: theory and measurement revisited
Adequate coverage and efficiency of public health services are high priorities for sustainable growth and development. In many countries, public healthcare continues to fall short of demand, and remains unevenly distribu...
On another two cryptographic identities in universal Osborn loops
In this study, by establishing an identity for universal Osborn loops, two other identities (of degrees 4 and 6) are deduced from it and they are recognized and recommended for cryptography in a similar spirit in which t...
Degree of approximation of functions belonging to Lipα class and weighted (Lr,ξ(t)) class by product summability method
A good amount of work has been done on degree of approximation of functions belonging to Lipα, Lip(α,r), Lip(ξ(t),r) and W(Lr, ξ(t)) classes using Cesàro and (generalized) Nörlund single summabilit...
Subordination and superordination for certain analytic functions containing fractional integral
The purpose of the present article is to derive some subordination and superordination results for certain normalized analytic functions involving fractional integral operator. Moreover, this result is applied to find a...
