Abstract
Management is supposed to get the work done by the subordinates towards the attainment of the common goals. This is the most important function of the management to inspire and stimulate the personnel with zeal to do the work for the accomplishment of organizational objectives. In other words, it is motivation of people. A successful manager knows that the issue of direction however well-conceived does not mean that they will follow in its true spirit. He should motivate the people to do work harmoniously for the achievement of established goals. We should also know that motivation as an unending process and the management has to provide for the employees constantly. Here in this study the researcher has studied about the employees motivational factors in JSW Steel Ltd Salem works, Salem.
