Abstract
Gunshot wounds of the orbit represent about 6% of injuries in this area. We described the case of the removal of a shot from the left orbit of a 16-year-old girl, accidentally shot by a gun – a toy. The injury did not cause any loss of vision or ocular motility, as foreign body stuck in the orbital cone mediall y to the optic nerve and annular ring. Endoscopic surgery was performed to remove the ball throu gh the sphenoid sin us using intraoperative navigation. In the postoperat ive period were observed the disord ers of abduction of the left eyeball, which resolved completely after two months. The vision of the le ft eye rema ins at the same level as before the injury. Endoscop ic remova l of foreign body was an effective and safe treatment wit hout loss of vision after injury.
