Energy production in selected Integrated Gasification Combined cycles fed with gas from coal gasification processes.

Abstract

The article presents technical parameters of selected pilot and industrial Integrated Gasification Combined Cycles (IGCC) plants. Selected plants have capacity of produced electricity at the level of currently used conventional power units of commercial power plants, i.e. above 250 MW of electric capacity. Similarly, net heat efficiencies obtained in such plants (42-45%) are of the same level as efficiencies of modern supercritical turbines as well as efficiencies of (supercritical) steam cycles currently operating in many countries.
