Ensuring security of local gas supply using pipeline gas storage
Journal Title: Ovidius University Annals of Chemistry - Analele Universităţii "Ovidius" Constanţa. Seria chimie - Year 2013, Vol 24, Issue 2
Abstract
This paper presents a natural gas supply system of a locality. Since power consumption is non-stationary, for supplying the consumption peaks it is used a gas deposit kept in a pipeline built near the locality. The viability of this solution was demonstrated by simulation with the numerical simulator SIMONE.
Spectrophotometric determination of ascorbic acid in grapes with the Prussian Blue reaction
The objective of the present work was to adapt the Prussian Blue reaction for the determination of ascorbic acid. The procedure was successfully applied for the determination of ascorbic acid in red and white grapes ([i]...
Effect of thermal treatment on antioxidant activity and colour of carrot purées
Total antioxidant activity, levels of bio-active compound groups and instrumental colour of carrot purée subjected to thermal treatment (70°C/2 min) were measured. The method applied to the dosage of ascorbic acid was wi...
A physico-chemical study for some edible oils properties
In the present paper we have experimentally determined the density, saponification value, iodine value, acid value, peroxide value for four different edible oils: sunflower oil, corn oil, rapeseed oil and peanut oil. Den...
The framing of the raw materials used for manufacturing some rough ceramic materials into polinary oxide systems
In this paper it is presented the framing into polinary oxide systems in the case of optimal design of the oxide composition for obtaining raw ceramic materials. These calculations were carried out on two raw materials,...
Determination of antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of Agaricus bisporus from Romanian markets
The antioxidant action of ethanolic extract from Agaricus bisporus which is available in the supermarkets of Bucharest, Romania, was assessed by determining its reducing power and its radical scavenging activity. The det...
