ERGONOMICS OF MYKOLAIV REGION: LINGUISTIC-SEMIOTIC APPROACH

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of describing the ergonomics of Mykolaiv Region from the point of view of the semiotic paradigm. The author of the article pointed out the concept “ergonim”, which is interpreted in different ways. The ergonim has several constitutive features, but its main feature is semantic motivation. The author has proved that semantic motivation affects the semiotic nature of the ergonim. Our results: ergonims of the iconic type correspond with indirectly informing units, ergonims of the index type – with directly informing units, ergonims of the symbolic type – with conventional units. The symbolic signs are dominant in the ergonimic space of the Mykolayiv Region.
