Evaluating the Performances of the CastGate Tunnel Server over TCP and UDP Links in Multi-Client Configuration
Journal Title: Acta Technica Napocensis- Electronica-Telecomunicatii (Electronics and Telecommunications) - Year 2009, Vol 50, Issue 4
Abstract
The CastGate architecture defines a transitory tunneling solution, offering access to native multicast. This paper describes the implementation of a testing application (CastGate Tester - CT) for the CastGate Tunnel Server (TS), using TCP and UDP links. The goal is to evaluate the performance of the TS in a controlled environment, by emulating a variable number of clients that connect to the server. Two scenarios were defined: load test and stress test. Based on these, the limitations of the CastGate Tunnel Server were identified. The obtained results can be used in the optimization stages of the TS.

A PSPICE Model For T Matching Circuits
In electronics, impedance matching is an engineering technique employed in circuit design for matching unequal source and load impedances. This can be done by inserting a matching circuit between the source and a load. F...
Using Dynamic Time Warping Algorithm Optimization For Fast Human Action Recognition
In this paper, we present an approach based on dynamic programming and neural network for recognition and matching human action. Each human action is represented by the angular motion of the body parts. Each body part an...
On The Tuning Performance of an Active RF Bandpass Filter
The paper describes a new principle of independent frequency and quality factor tuning suitable for simulated inductors based active RF filters. The method makes use of two dc decoupled negative resistances in order to...
An Overview of Today's Multipath Routing
The increased number of applications with strict demands regarding throughput and delay (e.g. video streaming, VoIP, video conferencing) determines the need for more efficient routing procedures in the Internet. Multipat...
Novel Voltage-Controlled Amplifiers For Multistandard Integrated Radio Receivers
This paper proposes a new architecture for transconductance (Gm)-based variable-gain amplifiers (VGA) that is better suited for multi-standard radio receivers than the classical two-Gm structure: its bandwidth and linear...
