Evolution subject area of ethnic geography

Abstract
Purpose of the article is to identify the characteristics of the subject area of ethnic geography and modern identify promising areas. According to this goal the following main tasks – to analyze the features of the subject area ethnogeography, identify the approaches of different disciplines that form the interdisciplinary nature of contemporary ethnic geography to analyze processes in ethnonational environment, identify the main directions of further development of the subject area of the discipline. Object – subject area of ethnic geography. The subjects of research are the modern features of the subject area of ethnic geography. Data & Methods. The basis of the article are the theoretical and methodological development of leading experts in the field of human geography, ethnography, ethnology and other sciences studying the features of ethnogeographical processes. The analysis used scientific methods of social geographic research – analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, abstraction, formalization, and others. Results. The analysis reveal several groups geographical research: Geographic features of cultures Ethnic Communities, impact features ethnogenesis (first bifurcation points) on demographic development and economic livelihood, where the emphasis is on the impact of natural and geographical factors on the development of ethnic communities, resettlement of ethnic communities at a particular time, spatial distribution of Ukrainian in the country and the world, features livelihoods Ukrainian ethnographic groups and some provincial regions of the country, historical and geographical features of the formation of ethnic composition of the population and the formation of the modern settlement pattern different communities. Most studies conducted in small and medium scale. It remains very wide field for further research. Not taking into consideration all aspects of flexibility, especially without knowing the specifics of the life of the various ethnic groups that make up a single body of ethno social, sustainable development is impossible. It is necessary to conduct comprehensive studies of socio-geographical territorial organization of life of ethnic groups (including the titular nation), who settled in a multiethnic environment. It must take into account the specific ethnic spheres, the main features of which are the determining influence of spiritual and ethno-psychological component.
