Evrim ve Hür İrade: Darvinci Doğadışılığın Savunması

Abstract
Otonominin Doğal Seleksiyonu adlı son kitabında, Bruce Waller, "Doğal Otonomi" olarak adlandırdığı bir görüşü savunmaktadır. Bu görüş, insanoğlunun, insan olmayan hayvanlarla paylaştığı, alternatif davranışları keşfetme kabiliyeti olan, fakat ahlaki sorumluluğu desteklemeyen bir otonomiye sahip olduğu düşüncesini içerir. Yazar aynı zamanda bu doğal otonominin, sivil girişimin etik prensip tarafından desteklenebileceğini ortaya atmaktadır. Bence sivil girişimin etik prensip tarafından desteklenmesi için, Waller'ın otonominin ya özgürlükçü teoriye ya da uyumcu teoriye ihtiyaç duyduğu görüşü tartışılabilir. Buna göre, değerlendirmeyi daha da ileri götürerek, Waller'ın aksine, özgürlükçü görüşün hem Darvinizm'le uyumlu olduğunu hem de nasıl otonom davranışların bunları gerçekleştiren faile ait olmasının mantıklılığı tartıştım. Böylece, özgürlükçü konumun Darvinciler için canlı bir konum olduğu sonucuna vardım. Fakat eğer doğacılık, çoğunlukla karşılaştığımız şekliyle, evrenin deterministik bakış açısını içerisinde barındırdığı şeklinde ele alınırsa (en azından kuantumdışı seviyede), makalem "Darvinci doğadışılığın" savunmasında yer edinmekte zorlanacaktır.
