EXPERIENCE OF TEACHING DICTIONARY SKILLS TO NON-LANGUAGE CADETS IN PREPARATION FOR IELTS

Abstract

This article addresses the issue of teaching methods and skills aimed at enabling non-language cadets to effectively use various types of linguistic dictionaries as part of IELTS preparation classes. The author describes major principles of creating and integrating dictionary-use strategies into foreign language teaching. The reader is offered a number of practical solutions and exercises designed to develop efficient skills in using the main types of linguistic dictionaries.
