FEATURES OF FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF DOMESTIC FOOTBALL-RELATED SUBCULTURES

Abstract
The article analyzes the features of the formation and development of football hooligans and football fans subcultures in recent decades on the post-Soviet space and, Ukraine in particular. The place of the domestic practices in the European context is defined and included in the context of the basic styles and sub-styles of these practices. Analysis of the evolution and conditions of the European practices accentuate their two dominant styles: “south” and “north” with “west” (British-Dutch) and “east” (Polish-German) sub-styles. The important aspect of post-Soviet football-related subcultures is in implementation of practices that have been formed within Soviet period. Within the framework of post-Soviet sub-style of the football-related practices traditional European practices and behavior patterns are combined. The post-Soviet football hooligans realized them both in their countries and abroad. The highlight of three generations within the subculture of football hooligans on post-Soviet space is based on the original author's study. The main criterion for their selection is determined by the participation in various collective practices that actualize specific stylistic connection with European models of football-related practices. The interaction around football subcultures with governmental institutions forms certain national differences. One of the fundamental differences between the various national models of post-Soviet football-related subcultures in this context depends on the stage of direct influence of government on its development. It is noted that the current development stage of domestic football fanaticism and football hooliganism is characterized, on the one hand, by a clear differentiation among them and the active inclusion of representatives of football-related subcultures in social, cultural and political life of the Ukrainian society on the other.
