FEATURES OF LIFE AND CREATIVITY OF ABDULLA BEI ASI

Abstract
One of the representatives of the literary environment of Karabakh – the center of poetry and art of Azerbaijan of the XIX century – was Abdullah bey Asi. Abdullah bey Asi, who became famous as an active member of the Mejlisi-Faramushan, is really worthy of the attention of critics. The poet’s work is multifaceted in terms of ideological richness and subject matter. A number of literary scholars have conducted studies on the life and work of Abdullah bey Asi, but there is still a need for a deeper study of it. The relevance of the article is determined by the author’s attempt to recreate the picture of the development of literature in Azerbaijan in the second half of the XIX century and to show the cultural and artistic environment of this period.
