Features of the administration of justice by jury in France

Abstract
This article examines the characteristics of judicial proceedings in a jury trial in France. Particular attention is paid to the principal characteristics of the trial with jury: the oral procedure, the jury status is equated to professional judges, as well as the decision taking on the basis of inner conviction. The author compares the trial of jury trial in France with judicial proceedings by a jury under the current legislation of Ukraine, drawing attention to certain weaknesses of the local legislation.
