FEMALE IMAGES IN THE EARLY LYRICS OF S. YOVENKO, I. ZHILENKO, A. CHUBACH AND N. BELOTSERKOVETS (TYPOLOGICAL ASPECT)

Abstract

The issue of women’s identity has always been and is on time. On the pages of newspapers and magazines, new names of female writers who seek freedom, equality, dignity, self-esteem and tolerance are beginning to appear. Their aspirations are reflected in their work, where a new type of woman already appears. Among such interesting and little-known representatives of the 70’s and 80’s of the twentieth century. It should be noted the figures of I. Zhilenko, S. Yovenko, N. Belotserkivets and G. Chubach. The theoretical basis of this research is the system-typological approach to the literary work and creativity of the writer, as well as gender studies in the field of feminine writing. There are many approaches to typological selection of female images in lyrics. We are close to the concept of «feminocentric literature». Thus, the focus of literature, in particular lyrics on the woman, her problems, her actions. At the same time, the identification of such indicative role-based attributes for value orientation purposes: woman-hero, woman-aesthetе (woman-artist) and woman-mother. For the early works of S. Yovenko, the image of the heroine (fighter) becomes one of the characteristic features of the images of various female characters. In N. Belotserkivets in women’s images prevail not heroic, but more domestic, social features relating to the sphere of love and dedication: an altruist woman, a humble woman, a sympathetic woman, sometimes a fatalist. Analyzing a number of female images in I. Zhilenko, we find in the lyrical heroine the features of a woman-aesthete, woman-artist. She not only watches for the surrounding world, but also enjoys its beauty and harmony. Female images of G. Chubach are presented in two varieties-the woman-aesthetes, and the woman-mother. The above illustrative poetry of an early lyric poetry S. Yovenko, I. Zhilenko, G. Chubach and N. Bilotserkivets at the level of synchronization and diachrony represent the typological range of female images in poetologic (esthete, artist, altruistic), active (heroine, fighter) and social (mother, lover, wife) roles.
