FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES OF BANKS IN THE CONDITIONS OF SHADOW ECONOMY

Abstract
The article listed the main indicators for the characteristics of the bank activity. In addition, the article studied current financial condition of national banks and analyzes the challenges faced by banks in the course of their activities. The authors highlighted the peculiarities of banks in advanced economies and Ukrainian banks. The article stressed that the shadow activity gives the significant impact on the operation of banks and that the shadow activity permeates all spheres of economic activity and has considerable scale. The authors concluded that there is need in a balanced public policy towards shadow economy to establish the situation in the banking sector and stabilize the economy as a whole.
